Sunday Brunch

Since the time we got married which is quite a few months now, mostly our weekends either go off in going over to my parents place or my husband's sister's place or him working it away. This Sunday my husband finally decided to plan something different.

We started with brunch at one of the best places in South Bombay on Marine Drive - Not Just Jazz by the Bay. Soup, salads, sandwiches and deserts - a good balance ;)

Loved the coasters

Post brunch we decided to hit the streets for some shopping and headed to Colaba Causeway(my husband had never been there :O and it was my duty to familiarise him with an area I haunt often) and Fashion Street though didn't land up buying anything :( Is it the husband's spell I wonder!!!???

It started pouring early evening and coffee called :) which found us making our way to Mocha for a cuppa of coffee. I changed my mind and decided to have chai latte which came in this huge bowl size cup. Perfect! Tea and the rains!

Finally the time for what I had been waiting for came - sunset at Marine Drive! We hopped onto the pavement and made our way to find a place to seat ourselves for a good number of hours and eventually managed to find place for 2 - dry with a good view :)

After over 2 hours of bliss and peace and chit chatting, we decided to head back but not without that slab of ice cream sanwiched between two crisp wafer biscuits from Rustom Ice cream.

Dress - AND, Polka Dot Sheer Top - Shoppers Stop, Bag - Aldo, Shoes - Colaba Causeway

A day well spent! :)

Ek Chidiya :)

Came across this video this morning and I couldn't help but go back to my childhood days when I used to love this video and wait to see it on DD.. Used to sing along as well "Ek chidiya, anek chidiya". A good lesson on unity for a country like ours. Don't know why they don't make such cartoons anymore. Brings back such good memories! :)

Watched it quite a few times on coming across it after all these years. It surely will remain an all time favourite of mine and I'm sure years later I will be showing it to my kids as well :D

What about you guys? What does it bring back to your mind?

And Happy Monday Everybody!! :)

Rain doesn't wanna go away....

The Mumbai rains this year just don't wanna reduce... Non-stop rain for 4 days that too at the end of August is something very very rare... Nothing like this can I ever recall...

While I love the rains, everyone's unending cribbing around me had started making me feel gloomy too... Decided to catch up with some of my girl friends :) Always and anytime a delight!

To beat the gloom wore something that would brighten up my day.. One of my recent favourite buys was a bright yellow knit that I had picked up from Zara which lifted my spirits instantly on wearing..

Turning pages of fashion magazines, eating cake and chit chatting, we spent a happy afternoon :D

Spending girl time is always fruitful! ;)
